The Writer’s Group with Susan Oleksiw

Each person is invited to bring their current work (fiction or non-fiction) to share. We will read & discuss and provide constructive support.  The group meets the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month at the Sawyer Free Library in the Muzzey Room from 10:30am-12:30pm.  Next group Saturday, June 24.

Sawyer Free Library, Week of May 28 – June 3

The Library’s Summer hours will start on Saturday, June 3. The Library will be open from 8:30am-1pm on Saturdays.  The hours will remain the same for the other days of the week.

The Library will close at 1pm on Saturday, June 3 and will reopen on Monday, June 12 at 8:30am.  Please be sure to pick up any holds or museum passes that have been reserved prior to the Library’s closing at 1pm on June 3.  Thank you!

The Sawyer Free Library will be CLOSED on Monday, April 17 for Patriots’ Day.

Bring in your donation of non perishable foods during the month of April and the Sawyer Free Library will waive your fines (sorry this does not apply to lost or damaged items).

SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED FOR THE 2017 ‘WHERE IS IT?’ EXHIBIT

Where is it 2017

Please submit your photos for the 2017 ‘Where Is It?’ Exhibition in the Matz Gallery of the Sawyer Free Library.  The exhibition is about places in Gloucester that are not hard to find – just sometimes overlooked.  The photo must be visible from public roadways or walkways. To enter send up to 3 photographs in JPEG format to: cpark@pobox.com. Please put Gloucester Exhibit on the subject line of your email. Photographs selected for the show need to be framed and matted with sizes between 12″x12″ and 24″x20″. Submissions are being accepted until April 28.
